More Trackwork, Wednesday, August 1 through Sunday, 5, 2007:

Basically, what got done:
3,808 screws removed for salvage (Wed, Fri, Sat) and 28 old panels salvaged. The newest ties were reused Saturday.
140 ft of new curve installed (Sat). Means we broke the old record, and those 140 feet were mostly done by hand.
All of the old ballast moved into the yards for the new sidings and raked out (Sat).
All of the ditch dug for the new panels (Sat).
All of the panels laid into the ditch ready to hook together.
Emergency replacement of a switch frog west side by the small bridge.
